The house was a Grade Two listed property in a conservation area thus the brief required all traditional materials. The refurbishment included a new conservatory, utility room, bathroom and master bedroom in the loft. The decoration won a prize for using traditional painting techniques with modern paints.

Phase 2 was to create living areas that made more use of natural light and larger open spaces. The brief also incorporated a cost-effective audio-visual system to all rooms with data-wiring & telephone system to provide a small home network.

The project was to completely remodel the garden in phases to suit the finances of the owner. The first phase wrapped a large patio around the south and east sides of the house and created continuity with the aesthetics of the house.

This commission looked at improving the facilities for the young family including ensuites to all bedrooms and to change a groundfloor office into a play-room with a small utility room. The brief include supervising the owner's own builder.
