A passion for plants

Chris Brooks is a designer with over twenty years experience and his passion for gardens, large or small, urban or rural, is undiminished. As the owner and principal consultant, Chris has created Inout to provide a full service garden design consultancy.

“Today the garden isn’t just a bit of land to keep your neighbours at arms-length, but an outside living space which can be both beautiful and functional,” says Chris. Based in the heart of north Essex, Chris and his small team of specialists work on landscaping and design projects. The styles of the projects they’ve tackled vary enormously from a show garden for the Royal Horticultural Show at Hampton Court to large landscaping projects.

“Our gardens are recognised for their strong, clean, simple lines, lush and luxuriant planting, and elegant styling and use of colour. We use all kinds of things to give each garden its own personality, like statues and water features, sound and light.” Chris goes on to explain, “When people realise the potential of the right garden, it becomes important to create continuity from the interior of their home to the outside space.”

Chris has many years of experience in a wide variety of disciplines, including building and property development. His passion for gardening took him back to college where he spent a year adding to his skills to ensure his clients really do have every possible option.
inout works in partnership with a select group of landscape contractors, water feature and lighting design specialists to ensure the garden design process from initial concept to project completion is smooth and seamless.
